Olivia Greseth is an artist, designer, and seamstress whose work explores accessible clothing and couture made exclusively from textiles that already exist. The fashion industry is well known for its excess, waste, pollution, animal exploitation, and human rights abuse. Using only repurposed textiles from deadstock, remnants, and deconstructed garments that have been donated, Olivia creates garments designed for one client at a time. Her clothing line, Drenched, is a culmination of her favorite designs inspired by her love of denim and made with torn apart old jeans.
Olivia’s community closet and studio, Indigo Accord, is a place of radical hospitality and acceptance. The purpose of the closet is to provide a space for community members to feel welcome. She wants people to have a positive experience looking for clothing, have access to a washer and dryer to clean their clothes, feel comfortable asking for alterations and never have anxiety about the cost as they say farewell. The purpose of her studio is to alter, design, and create garments for interested clientele.
